Due to the practical difficulty in implementing conventional reliability methods and development of different structural simulation tools, the authors considered a possible approach for taking full advantage of inexpensive sensitivity information provided by simulation codes e.g.finite element analysis with semi-analytic method or computational fluid dynamics with adjoint method.A two-stage hybrid reliability analysis framework, which integrated both Monte Carlo simulation(MCS) and First order reliability method(FORM) with sensitivity-driven response surface method, are proposed and illustrated.
