  Bacterial blight caused by Xanthomonas axonopodis pv.dieffenbachiae, is the single most serious threat to anthurium (Anthurium andreanum Lind) industry worldwide.Once the bacteria have entered a susceptible host via the stomata, hydathodes or wounds, it multiply and spreading through the xylem vessels, inducing water soaking then forming chlorotic and necrotic around infected sites.If plants are grown under warm and humid conditions, spread within and between plants can be rapid with crop losses up to 100%.
