Anionic exchange resins for adsorption/desorption of uranium were synthesized from chloromethyl styrene-divinyl benzene copolymer by the interpolymerization method. To obtain stable resins of high thermal resistance and hardness,nano-clay Closite 20A and 93A were added.Adsorption/Desorption tests with synthetic and 5 commercial ion exchange resins were conducted in dilute UO2(SO4)22-solutions.Results showed that 2 commercial resins gave very high adsorption efficiency of 99.8% whereas the synthetic resin gave the efficiency of 66.7%.In case of desorption, synthetic and commercial resins gave the similar efficiencies. On the other hand, the adsorption equilibrium was rapidly reached with synthetic resins.Furthermore, the synthetic resins remained stable up to 60℃ which was 5 degrees higher than the cases of commercial ones.
