Objective To investigate the indications and clinical effects of various embolic techniques for endovascular treatment ofcomplicated intracranial aneurysms.Mcthods The clinical data of 79 cases with complicated intracranial aneurysms embolized WCle retrospectively analyzed. Results Seventy-nine cases complicated intracranial aneurysms were treated with such techniques as routine detachable coiling, balloon remodeling, stent endovaseuloplasty and parent artery occlusion.Complete or near-complete occlusion rate was 83.3 %.partial occlusion rate 9.7 %, persistent morbidity Was 2.8 %. and mortality 1.4 %.Twenty patients were followed up f.or two to 13 months(six and a half months On an average), none of whom suffoed from bleeding or rebleeding. Conclusions Endovaseular embolism iS the comparatively safe and effective alternative for treatment of complicated intracraniai aneuryrns.New embolic techniques.new embolic materials and more clinical experiences willimprove endovascular treatment ofcomplicated intracranial ancurysnm.
