Solely separation of nickel, cobalt or manganese from spent lithium ion batteries is difficult and costly [1].To reduce cost caused by complicated separation process of nickel, cobalt or manganese from the leaching liquid and to avoid producing fluorine wastewater in the removal of impurity Mg2+ by NaF [2], a hydrometallurgical procedure has been developed for obtaining mixed leaching liquid of nickel, cobalt and manganese in the absence of NaF.
