As you may know, we identified BAK1 as a co-receptor of the brassinosteroid (BR) receptor BRI1 about a decade years ago and genetically demonstrated its essential role in the early events of the BR signal transduction pathway.About 7 years ago, my lab reported that BAK1 and its paralog BKK1 regulate a BR-independent cell-death control pathway.
