Most patients with leukemia die from progressive disease after relapse,which is associated with the rising drug resistance of leukemic cells.The drug resistant ones survived initial therapy,disseminated and colonized specific organs at relapse.However,chemotherapy failed to eradicate the colonizers.Many research works have done to target the multidrug resistance,metastasis and proliferation pathway to block the progression of disease,but breakthrough in each area has lagged,partly because of the lack of systematic consideration to resolve important cancer cell signaling pathways participated in.
