Robust Fault Estimation for a Class of T-S Fuzzy Singularly Perturbed Systems with State Time Delays

This paper studies the problem of fault estimation(FE) for a class of T-S fuzzy singular perturbed systems with state time delays,which is subject to small perturbation parameter ε and norm-bounded external disturbance.By taking the system faults as auxiliary disturbance signal and constructing fuzzy augmented fault estimation observer(AFEO),a robust observer-based fault estimator is obtained to guarantee the error dynamic system to be asymptotically stable with a prescribed H∞ performance.Then an improved sufficient existence condition of such observer is presented,which includes the information of system state time delay.In contrast to the existing results,the estimator gains can be solved directly by a set of ε-independent LMIs,and the obtained fault estimator estimates via AFEO can practically better depict the size and shape of the faults.Finally,a numerical example is given to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.
