To enhance the effectiveness of a quality management system in a university, an on-time analysis and monitoring of an internal quality assessment result is needed. If the analysis is not done in a sensible way, the interpretation can be misleading.Normally there are variations associated with the quality assessment such as the expertise in question formulation, data collection and sampling technique used as well as what and how many well-documented evidences are available to an auditor during the assessment period.Without being aware of the lurking variation, the management might analyze the result of the internal quality assessment by simply comparing with the previous record. This simple comparison might be misleading. For example, if the result of assessment scores increases, one might conclude that the efficiency of the quality assurance increases or vice versa. In fact the difference of assessment scores may not be statistically significant if concept of variation was brought into the decision making process. To avoid this, the perception of assessment variation should be taken into account. Thus this research presents a methodology to analyze and monitoring the internal quality assnrance system of Rajabhat univer sities that are sensible and dependable in order to enhance the reliability of decision making on the quality assurance system itself using control chart technique.
