  This study analyzes the interrelations between nuclear power plant location and industrial development in Japan.Typically,the purpose of nuclear power generation is to increase electricity production and thus achieve energy independence.However,in Japan,nuclear power plant subsidies were also considered to be an incentive to encourage local economic development.
