Electromagnetic radiation appears to have a significant impact on the neural system, especially when the telephone is widely used, yet the mechanisms underlying this effect are unclear. We have established a mathematical framework that models precise mechanisms from previous experimental data. Here,we use such a model for a neural network, and explain how electromagnetic radiation impacts on the sensory-evoked spatiotemporal patterns and neuronal synchronization. Finally,we discuss the broader implications of interference in cortical information processing.
