Methods for miniaturizing organic thin films on surfaces down to the nanometer scale while capable of tuning their terminal functionalities are much desired in nanoscience and nanotechnology. In this talk, it will prove that both high-resolution and high-throughput production of nano-scaled self-assembled monolayers (SAMs) with a selected interfacial chemistry can be achieved readily via nonconventional methods such as atomic force microscopy (AFM)-based nanofabrication and particle lithography.
