Objective: To evaluate the clinical efficacy of cytokine-induced killer cells (CIK) combined with chemotherapy/radiotherapy in the treatment of postoperative patients with colorectal cancer.Methods: Baseline characteristics and outcomes of 196 patients with CRC were collected from the Liaoning Cancer Hospital & Institute from March 2003 to April 201 1.A total of 98 patients received autologous CIK combined with chemotherapy after operation (CIK group), and another 98 patients received chemotherapy/radiotherapy alone after operation (Control group).Differences In demographic and clinical characteristics between the two groups were evaluated using the t test, x 2 test, and the Fisher exact test as appropriate.
