Gliomas are one of the most common types of brain tumors.Numerous efforts have been contributed to dissect the mechanisms of glioma genesis and identify biomarkers for diagnosis and treatment. To facilitate further investigations, here we present a comprehensive database of GliomaDB.GliomaDB is an integrated database using RNA-seq, whole genome / exome sequencing, and clinical data from The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA), Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO), and our unpublished data.GliomaDB include expression and gene fusion data from 1797 samples and DNA mutation data from 1600 samples. The samples include brain lower grade glioma, glioblastoma multiforme, and corresponding cancer stem cells. Some of the samples include clinical data of participants, such as vital status and tumor status.GliomaDB offers a user-friendly interface for 2 main types of queries.First, the query of i) gene expression, ii) gene mutations, iii) gene fusion pairs, iv) differential expression of genes between groups of samples, and v) significantly-correlated genes based on expression values.Second, survival analysis performed on i) gene expression, ii) gene fusion pair, or iii) genomic variation.Pre-computed downloadable files containing gene expression, gene fusions, and genomic variations in multiple glioma types are available for customizable analysis.Since Precision Medicine attracts great attention recently, such a comprehensive resource can empower both researchers and clinicians to make better use of publicly-available data.
