Presently,hydrogels are widely used for controlled drug delivery,due to their tunable chemical and physical structure,high water content and biocompatibility.Yet,the incorporation of drugs by sorption is time-consuming,and the loading level by sorption is limited.Therefore,a delivery formulation where gelation and drug loading can be achieved simultaneously and taking place in an aqueous environment would be attractive [1,2].
