Fullerenes are spherical molecules composed of pentagons and hexagons.Endohedral fullerenes, which possess outer surface available for chemical modification and inner space capable of encapsulation of variable clusters and molecules, have generated considerable recent research interest.By introducing SO2 as the sulfur source, the synthesis of an extensive family of sulfide clusterfullerenes was demonstrated in this study.
