Research of simulation of particulate flows is reviewed from the viewpoint of modeling.The most important point of modeling is in particle-fluid interaction and particle-particle interaction.Concerning the particle-fluid interaction, methods are classified into three groups: micro, meso and macro scale approaches.Concerning the particle-particle interaction, methods dealing with collision and contact are described.Finally, cases of application are classified into collision-free flow, collision dominated flow and contact dominated flow.
