Calcium sulphoaluminate cements (CSA) can represents a potential valid substitution for OPC in the global challenge of CO2-emissions reduction and an opportunity for waste recycling. However the renewed interest toward CSA cement in view of its extensive use in cement-building applications imposes a complete comprehension of mechanisms that regulate the hydration process as well as the effect of environmental conditions (T, P, pH) that can impact the stability of its main hydrated phases.
