Water disinfection is a prime way to prevent waterborne diseases from being spread.However, most of these conventional methods have some limitations, like production of toxic by-products or energy and labor intensive and so on.However, novel photocatalytic disinfection technologies can open a new window to solve these kinds of problems.In this study, a series of novel UV or visible-light driven photocatalysts were successfully synthesized and E.coli was chosen as model biohazard to evaluate photocatalytic activities.
