Nowadays,energy shortage and environmental pollution are two serious issues in the world.In order to mitigate the problems,more and more attentions are paid on bioenergy.The development of bioenergy could divide into three stages: the first generation is mainly extracted from food and oil crops such as maize,sugar beet and sugarcane,but it has generated a lot of controversy for causing impact on global food markets;the second generation is from agricultural residues,forest harvesting residues or wood processing waste,especially lignocelluloses,but the technology for conversion has not reached the scales for commercial exploitation;the third generation is microalgae,which could overcome such mentioned shortcomings,microalgae has its own advantages,and it becomes a research focus for scholars.
