Aerogels are attractive lightweight materials with high porosity and high specific surface area1.Recently.as a new generation of aerogels, cellulose aerogel has attracted extensive interest due to the rencwable and environmentalty friendly advantages of cellulose2-4.Nevertheless.the limitation of the cellulose aerogel application becomes notable because of the flammability and hydrophilic nature of cellulose.In the present study, a room temperature ionic liquid, I-allyl-methylimidazole chloride (AmimCl), was applied as a green solvent of cellulose on account of its excellent dissolving capacity and high stability as well as recyclable property.
