Content: Lipoproteins play an important role in the life cycles of the soil-dwelling Gram-negative bacterium Myxococcus xanthus, because many known motility and some development genes encode lipoproteins.Previously, we showed that myxobacteria produced antibiotic TA (myxovirescin) targets one of the enzymes involved in lipoprotein processing, type Ⅱ signal peptidase, encoded by lspA.
