The improved quark mass density-dependent model is applied to study the properties of finite nuclei. After fixing all the parameters by nuclear matter roperties, we use this model to investigate the properties of doubly magic nuclei from 16-O to 208-Pb.In addition, it is the first time that relativistic mean field theory based on quark and meson degrees of freedom is applied to study the ground-state properties of the chain of isotope. The calculated binding energies, charge radii and separation energies agree with the available experimental data.It has been shown that our model can describe the properties of spherical finite nuclei successfully.
