The morphology of crystalline polymers in ultrathin films and monolayers is different from that in bulk case.As the film thicknesses equal to or smaller than the lamellar thickness,the diffusion process of chain molecules begins to control the crystal growth and the dense branch morphology,and dendritic pattern can be characterized.In this study,the dendritic structures have been revealed in Poly(ε-caprolactone) (PCL) and Poly(4-hydroxystyrene) (PVPh) blends thin films (100-150 nm) by polarized light microscopy(PLM).
