Arachidonic acid (AA) metabolites have a significant effect on the function of endothelium cells (ECs).We previously reported that DNA methylation of sEH, an AA metabolic enzyme, affected its function in ECs.This study was aimed to investigate whether DNA methylation play a role in the balance of whole AA metabolism and underlying mechanism.HUVECs were treated with DNA methyltransferase inhibitor 5-AZA, and AA metabolic profile in the media and the cell lysates were analyzed with metabolic approach by LC-MS/MS.The results showed that the metabolites of COX pathway were significantly increased, compared with those in LOX and CYP450 pathways.
