Background, Motivation and Objective In the field of agriculture, there is increasing demand for automatic decision system of harvest season of farm product. Elastic property is one of the important factors for the decision. Especially, non-contact test is required to minimize damage of fruits. In this paper, we develop a non-contact measurement system, which evaluates elastic property of fruits by using airborne ultrasonic transducer. Displacement characteristics of fruits were measured as a fundamental study.
