A large-area graphene oxide (GO) film loaded in the interface of pentane-water was freely self-assembled on the surface of silver nanowires (AgNWs) electrodes by a rapid and green process. With the evaporation-driven instability effect of acetone in the solution, the single layer GO nano-film was rapidly formed when the GO was dispersed in the solution and transferred onto the surface of AgNWs electrodes by a simple dip coating method with arbitrary shape. The thickness of GO film was optionally controlled by changing the self-assembled time, injection amount of acetone and temperature. The sheet resistance of GO/AgNWs/PET (polyethylene terephthalate) electrodes has been decreased by approximately 3-4 times with only 2% decrease in transmittance comparing the original AgNWs/PET electrodes. The stability of AgNWs electrodes in air environment has been improved with the GO protected film. The following figure shows that the GO/AgNWs/PET was stable at 120℃ in air comparing the AgNWs/PET with drastically increase in resistance after only three days. The mechanism will be presented in the conference.
