In this presentation we will describe the design rationale, synthesis, characterization of several organic semiconducting polymers for printed thin-film transistors (TFTs) and photovoltaic cells (OPVs) and understand their charge-transport characteristics as a function of the device architecture and interface modifications (Fig.1).Furthermore,new hybrid materials comprising polymers and metal oxide will be presented. Our materials enable the realization of printed TFTs with electron mobilities > 3-40 cm2/Vs as well as several type of electronic building blocks Furthermore,OPV cell with efficiencies >11% are demonstrated. Finally, new approaches to understand how degree of conjugation in semiconducting polymers affect transport will be reported.
