The rice leaffolder, Cnaphalocrocis medinalis (Guenée) (Lepidoptera: Pyralidae) is a notorious insect pest that causes considerable economic damage to cultivated rice crops each year in many Asian countries.Current chemical insecticides-based methods are inadequate to control the pests, and can cause serious environmental problems.Further, natural enemies are killed inadvertently when insecticides are misused.
