　　In this talk,I will first introduce the basic method to calculate the basic reproduction number of an epidemic model with population diffusion.Then I will introduce our researches on rabies and Lyme disease,in which the influences of spatial structures on the spread of diseases are provided.The talk is based on the joint work with Xiaoqiang Zhao.
