This paper is about a community based tourism project in a municipality in the Philippines.It describes the development of a conceptual framework,the methodology used in processing culture data obtained by a multidisciplinary group and the process used to convert this into an interdisciplinary description of culture.The processes used in the research were designed to help communities identify their cultural assets and use these as inputs in packaging tourismic projects that will foster meaningful intercultural exchanges.The purpose of the paper is to allow scholars and other interested parties to identify areas where improvements in the conceptual framework and the methodology of processing data can be enriched using the experiences of researchers doing related work.
