Objective: The present study was designed to evaluate effects of ulinastatin (UTI) on inflammation and oxidation and neural apotosis in the injured cerebral cortex after cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).Methods: Seventy-six adult male Wistar rats were untreated for 6 minutes after induction of ventricular fibrillation (VF) by an external transthoracic alternating current, and then CPR.They were randomly divided into VF+Phosphate Buffered Saline (PBS) group and VF+UTI group depending on whether they received co-treatment with medicine after return of spontaneous circulation (ROSC).
