The compatibility of the reduced activation ferritic martensitic(RAFM)steel,JLF-1,with liquid lead(Pb)lithium(Li)eutectic alloy(LLE)is one of the critical issues for the development of LLE type blanket systems.It has been made clear that the compatibility of the steel in the Pb-Li alloys is influenced by the temperature,the flowing condition and the mass transfer by temperature gradient in the system.However,the information about the effect of Li concentration in the alloys on the corrosion is quite limited.The purpose of the present study is to investigate the effect of Li concentration in the Pb-Li alloys on the corrosion of the JLF-1 steel.
