  Numerical oscillations by point-wise flux vector splitting(FVS)and component-wise nonlinear difference discretization of convection terms are revealed and prevented in compressible flows with discontinuities,where pressure and velocity oscillations can be induced by either one of the two operations.Two practicable principles are proposed to prevent the oscillations.Numerical tests confirm the effectiveness,robustness and low computation cost of our proposed method.
