Objective To explore the clinical value of dual-source CT in diagnosis of congenital heart diseases. Methods 68 cases of congenital heart disease which were comfirmed by surgery were collected, including 27 males, 41 females, arranged from 16days to 18 years old and 7.4 years old on average.68patients with suspected congenital heart disease underwent contrast-enhanced dual-source CT and Echocardiograph-gated technology.Breceptor block agent was not required.Using systolic thin (0.75mm)reconstruction images to post-processing in the workplace including MPR, MIP and VRT.Echocardiography was performed respectively in all 68 patients.Comparing the diagnostic accuracy which was confirmed by surgery between DSCT and echocardiography. Results 68 patients with suspected congenital heart disease were confirmed by surgery, including arterial septal defet (17 cases), ventricular septal defect (23 cases),interruption of the aortic arch (2 cases), single arterial (2cases), single ventricle (4 cases), single patent ductus arteriosus (15 cases), Tetralogy of Fallot (15 cases), pulmonary atresia (15 cases), double outlet left ventricle (2 cases), double outlet right ventricle (4 cases), complete transposition of the great artery (2cases), abnormal origin of the pulmonary artery (1 case), abnormal coronary sinus (3 cases), coarctation of the aorta (3 cases).335 deformities were confirmed by surgery in 68 patients. In 136 intra-cardiac deformities, definite diagnostic rates of dual source CT and echocardiography were 97.06% and 94.85%(P=1.000).In 199extracardiac anomalies, definite diagnostic rates of dual-source CT and echocardiography were 98.99% and89.95%.Combination of dual-source CT and echocardiography increased the definite diagnostic rate to 99.54%.Conclusion DSCT is a major congenital heart disease non-invasive inspection technology, whose original images and three-dimensional reconstruction images are clear.DSCT are real-time, comprehensive, and visually in display the various centers inside and outside structural abnormalities and complications. The diagnostic accuracy of DSCT is higher than echocardiographys.DSCT can be used as a routine examination in diagnosis of congenital heart disease before operation. The diagnostic accuracy of congenital heart disease can be increased by combined DSCT with echocardiography preoperatively.
