Cervical cancer is the third most common malignancy in women, and it remains a leading cause of cancer-related death of women.Treatment usually consists of surgery in early stages and chemotherapy and/or radiotherapy in more advanced stages of the disease. Thus, the development of effective chemopreventive or chemotherapeutic agents/approaches using nontoxic botanicals may represent one strategy for the management of cervical cancer.
