In a joint-work with Hosung Kim,we show that double covering maps of projective space with low-degree branching divisors exhibit a certain rigidity with respect to minimal rational curves on the coverings.Applications to the study of morphisms between Fano manifolds and a variation of the rigidity to double coverings of some other manifolds will be discussed.
