A total of 42 agricultural soil samples were collected near E-waste recycling workshops.And concentrations and sources of seven heavy metals(Cd,Cr,Cu,Hg,Ni,Pb and Zn)were investigated in the soils.It was found that the agricultural soils were suffered from heavy metal contamination in various extents.Contamination levels based on single factor pollution index were medium for Cd and Cu and slight for Hg,while those based on comprehensive pollution index were medium to high for the seven metals.Furthermore,multivariate analysis(Pearsons correlation analysis,stepwise regression analysis and principal component analysis)revealed that concentrations of Cd,Pb,Ni and Zn were elevated by atomospheric deposition from open-burning of e-waste,Cd and Hg were related with surface runoff of acidic wastewater from E-waste washing and leakage from long term storage of E-waste,while Cr was mainly associated with geogenic and pedogenic of parent materials
