作为语言规划研究的重要组成部分,官方语言立法的研究,能充分体现国家对于语言的观点、态度、立场或语言格局。本文力图以历史学的视角对美国官方语言争议的历史渊源、进程、现状及发展趋势进行综合述评;比较不同时期语言争议所反映的语言政策的异同表现,探究官方语言争议背后的语言态度问题以及根植于语言态度之下的思想渊源,从而得出官方语言争议的实质。
As an important part of language planning research, the study of official language legislation can fully reflect the state’s viewpoints, attitudes, positions or linguistic patterns on language. This article attempts to make a comprehensive review of the history, process, current situation and development trend of official language disputes in the United States from a historical perspective. To compare the similarities and differences of language policies reflected in language disputes in different periods and to explore the linguistic attitudes behind the official language controversy and Rooted in the language under the source of ideas, to come to the essence of the official language controversy.
