PGD analysis on embryos derived from infertile males with Y chromosome abnormalities

  Objective The objectives of this study were to investigate the composition of sex chromosomes in the embryos derived from the infertile males with Y chromosome abnormalities and determine the effects of preimplantation genetic diagnoses (PGD) on the assisted reproductive treatment of these males.Method The couples,of which the infertile male contains Y chromosome abnormalities,were treated with controlled ovarian hyperstimulation and intracytoplasmic sperm injection.In PGD group,single blastomere biopsy was performed and its sex chromosomes were detected by FISH at the third day after fertilization.Female embryo was implanted into the mothers uterus.In non-PGD group,embryos with normal morphology were implanted.After implantation,the rates of embryo implantation,clinical pregnancy and miscarriage were determined.Results In PGD group,the percentages of female,male and sex chromosome aneuploid embryos were 61.28%,19.92% and 18.80%,respectively.The rates of embryo implantation,clinical pregnancy and miscarriage in PGD group was 33.93%,44.00% and 9.09%,respectively,which was not significantly different with those in the non-PGD group (30.42%,40.95% and 14.29%,respectively).Conclusion Male and aneuploid embryos presents a high percentage in the embryos derived from infertile males with Y chromosomal abnormalities.This indicates that it is necessary to perform PGD for these embryos to avoid the implantation of embryos with genetic defects.Furthermore,PGD does not have significant effects on the implantation,embryo development and the assisted reproductive treatment.Therefore,PGD is necessary and feasible for the assisted reproductive treatment of infertile males with Y chromosome abnormalities.

目的:探讨静脉尿路造影(IVU)联合逆行膀胱造影对儿童巨输尿管症的诊断价值。方法:对30例患儿进行常规尿路造影,静脉注射碘帕醇20m1,透视下动态观察。观察双侧肾孟肾盏、输尿管及膀脱充盈情况,输尿管蠕动排空情况。结果:30例均见输尿管不同程度扩张。结论:IVU为诊断儿童巨输尿管症的一种重要检查方法,结合逆行尿路造影可鉴别诊断返流性及梗阻性巨输尿管症,进一步明确巨输尿管症的病因。
