  Background:Our previous studies suggest that MgATP coordinates with calmodulin (CaM) in maintenance of cardiac Cav1.2 channel activity in the inside-out patches via direct interaction with channel.Since the similarity of structures among nucleotides,we speculate that other nucleotides can also induce Cav1.2 channel activity in the presence of CaM.
