In this paper, A1 rod lead alloy/β-PbO2 composite anode was prepared on aluminum rod lead alloy by drawing-extrusion composite β-PbO2 particals.After 36h galvanostatic polarization at the current density of 500A/m2 in a synthetic zinc electrowinning electrolyte of 50 g/L Zn2+, 150 g/L H2SO4, 0.5 g/L C1-at 35 C, A1 rod lead alloy/β-PbO2 composite anode and A1 rod lead alloy anode were investigated using anodic polarization curves, cyclic voltammetry curves and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy techniques, and the phase composition and microscopic morphology of the anodic oxide layers were observed by X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscopy,respectively.
