The nonlinear optical properties of small-and large-sized gold nanorods (GNRs) were investigated both numerically and experimentally.Two-photon-induced luminescence (TPL) and/or second harmonic generation (SHG) were observed in the nonlinear optical spectra of GNRs when exciting them with focused femtosecond laser light.
