Aggregation-induced emission(AIE) has become a hot topic as an effective means to solve the aggregation-caused quenching problem in solid-state optoelectronic devices.As the typical AIEgens,silole derivatives have been widely investigated both theoretically and experimentally.In previous studies,it was understood that the AIE in siloles stems from the suppression of the non-radiative decay channels with the restriction of the rotational/vibrational motions of peripheral aromatic groups with respect to the central silacycle(especially,groups at 2,5-positions).
