Objectives Pseudomembranous enteritis, also known as antibiotic-associated colitis,is caused by the imbalance of intestinal flora and massive production of clostridium difficile during or after administration of antibiotics, which tends to generate toxins and leads to acute fibrinous exudative inflammation of the colon and small intestine, with yellow-white or yellow-green pseudomembrane on the mucosal surface, which is the reason for its name.
