Malaria remains endemic in 97 countries and territories.There have been an estimated 214 million new malaria cases,with about 438,000 deaths worldwide in 2015.Extensive travel and migration can easily spread the disease from one location to another.Multipatch epidemic models are developed to describe disease spread in discrete space.
