The paper studies the existence and some properties of global attractors to the initial boundary value problem (IBVP)for a nonlinear wave equation arising in elasto-plastic flow utt-div{|▽u|m-1▽u}-λ△ut +△2u+g(u) =f(x).It proves that under rather mild conditions,the dynamical system associated with above-mentioned IBVP possesses a global attractor in a weak sense.Specially,when m ≥ 2,the weak global attractor is regularized into global one,which is connected and has finite Hausdorff and fractal dimension,and the estimates on the size of the attractors and the absorbing rate are given.
