Purpose: To address another cross-modal ability of touch and vision that may be crucial to the development of cross-modal transfer: the integration of simultaneously experienced multimodal cues.Methods: A 4-year-old congenitally blind patient, named YM, underwent cataract removal surgery and an intraocular lens implant for both eyes.Clinical observation and tests on four tactile-visual matching conditions were taken without any deliberate training.
