唐末五代,王潮与王审知相继统治闽中,其后王审知子孙建立闽国,为五代十国诸雄之一。王氏统治时期为福建文化的大发展时代;由于王氏设治于福州,福州文化的发展更胜其他地区,从闽国以后,福州历来以文化名城闻名于世。 In the late Tang and the Five Dynasties, Wang Chao and Wang Shenzhi successively ruled the Central Fujian Province, and later Wang Zhicui’s descendants established the Fujian Province as one of the Zhu Xiong of the Five Dynasties and the Ten Kingdoms. Wang’s reign was the era of great development of Fujian culture. Since Wang dynasty ruled in Fuzhou and Fuzhou developed more than other regions, Fuzhou has always been known as a cultural city since the Min kingdom.
