OBJECTIVE To investigate changes in functional connectivity in the control circuitry of both healthy normal sub jects and heroin dependent subjects using the results of a structur al study as the seed regions of interest.METHODS Twenty two subjects, including 11 heroin users and 11 age-matched con trol subjects, were enrolled in this study.High resolution anatom ical images and the resting state portion of the cue-reactivity fMRI were taken for morphological and functional connectivity analysis.
